Meta Bright Group Explores Collaboration with ChargeSini to Strengthen EV Charging Ecosystem
Meta Bright Group Berhad is set to explore collaboration opportunities with ChargeHere EV Solution Sdn Bhd, which operates under the ChargeSini brand — Malaysia’s largest charge point operator (CPO).

ChargeSini currently operates 935 EV charging points across more than 400 locations nationwide, with 734 fully operational and approved by the Energy Commission (ST). These stations are strategically located in shopping malls, hotels, and residential condominiums, serving a growing user base of over 32,000 EV drivers.

Both parties will begin preliminary discussions to evaluate potential areas of collaboration. This includes exploring technical exchanges, joint project development, and market entry strategies aimed at supporting Malaysia’s clean energy goals. The initiative aligns with Meta Bright’s commitment to expand its energy-related ventures, especially within the EV infrastructure segment as part of its broader ESG framework.

Derek Phang, Meta Bright’s Executive Director of Corporate and Strategic Planning, highlighted the potential significance of this initiative. “Exploring this collaboration marks a strategic move as Meta Bright looks to diversify into the rapidly expanding EV charging sector,” he said. “By engaging with ChargeSini, we aim to strengthen our ESG roadmap and identify opportunities for long-term, sustainable revenue growth.”

Should the discussions progress, this collaboration could accelerate innovation in EV charging technologies and expand access to reliable infrastructure nationwide. By combining Meta Bright’s investment and strategic capabilities with ChargeSini’s operational scale and technical expertise, the initiative holds potential to create significant value for Malaysia’s EV ecosystem and further support the government’s transition to low-carbon mobility.

This potential collaboration has also been featured by New Straits Times and Bursa Malaysia, underscoring growing interest in Malaysia’s evolving EV landscape.
