Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach potential clients including fleet operators, commercial property owners, parking operators, municipalities, and utility companies
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold outreach, and industry events
- Prepare customized proposals and quotations based on client requirements (e.g. charging capacity, site feasibility, O&M model)
- Conduct presentations and product demos to educate clients on EV charging technologies and solutions
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle — from prospecting to negotiation to contract closure
- Collaborate with technical, project, and operations teams to develop site-specific EV charging proposals
- Stay up to date on EV policies, subsidies, and market developments to position the company strategically
- Representing the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and sustainability forums
- Build long-term relationships with clients, partners, and public sector stakeholders
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum SPM
- 1-2 years sales experience would be an added advantage however not necessary.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Have passion/familiar with the Automobile industry, especially the EV industry
- Business development executives need to be skilled at communicating with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams. Strong negotiation and presentation skills are also critical.
- The EV industry is constantly evolving, and successful business development executives need to be adaptable and able to pivot quickly to take advantage of new opportunities or address challenges.
