Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all low-voltage (≤1 kV) electrical equipment, including switchboards, distribution boards, motors, and control panels;
- Maintain statutory logbooks, inspection records, and testing documentation
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable and safe operation;
- Maintain valid AO competency certificate and ensure statutory inspections are carried out;
- Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations and licensing requirements.
- Perform electrical testing and maintain accurate service and maintenance records;
- Supervise contractors and technicians during electrical installation or repair works;
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth project delivery;
- Provide post installation technical support to the operations team when needed;
- Support the project manager in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation; and
- Perform others related duties as may be required by the Management
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution with valid Chargemen AO/A1/A4 Certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of low-voltage electrical installation.
- Competent in troubleshooting electrical faults and using electrical testing instruments
- Able to work under minimal supervision, handle emergency situations, and make sound decisions.
- Strong communication skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin (optional).
- Good problem solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
